Describe your enquiry. Your request will be sent directly to our team. Please add any technical details already available.
How do you prepare for a technical discussion?
A brief description of your plant helps us to classify an enquiry from a technical perspective. Specify the medium, the desired measured variable and the typical operating range. Include the temperature, formula changes and the intended installation location. A figure such as ‘four per cent’ should be explicitly linked to its reference value, for example, four per cent by mass of dry matter.
It is also helpful to state your operational objective. Do you need to monitor a dilution, trigger a sample, or oversee an existing process? This will determine different requirements regarding real-time data and comparison methods. Online measurement provides continuous information; its use must be tailored to the specific process.
What documentation is useful for an initial enquiry?
- A clear description of the medium and its varying constituents.
- The required unit of measurement, typical values and relevant limit ranges.
- A sketch of the pipe or tank showing the planned measurement point.
- The existing laboratory reference and details regarding sampling.
- Details regarding gas bubbles, settling, cleaning and special operating conditions.
It is not necessary to have all the data fully available straight away. Please explicitly state any outstanding issues so that they can be clarified in further discussions. For sensitive plant documentation, you can first use the contact channels mentioned to agree on the most suitable method of transmission. Avoid including unnecessary personal information in technical descriptions.
Which page helps with which question?
The product page describes MicroSinus and its documented functions. The ‘Project Planning and Service’ section covers installation, reference comparison and verification. The measurement enquiry offers a further point of entry for specific tasks. To clarify terminology, the articles on concentration and dry matter explain the respective units and references.
What should be included in a query regarding an existing measurement?
State the time, the displayed process value and a comparative value from the same time period. Describe any changes to the formulation, temperature, measurement point or sampling method. This allows a deviation to be considered in its context, rather than simply comparing two isolated figures. The specific assessment is based on the available information and the actual operating conditions.
How do you avoid misunderstandings when quoting figures?
State the unit and the reference quantity directly alongside the value. For percentage figures, for example, it must be clear whether a mass fraction is meant. When comparing measurements, include the reference method and the time of sampling. If you only require a trend, state this explicitly. This information helps to distinguish a specific process value from a general instrument scale or another laboratory parameter.
